Church Life…

Church Weekend 2023

Please find below, details of what goes on at Trinity.

Sunday Services

The church meets every Sunday at 10.30am. It helps to arrive 10-15 minutes early to get a parking spot and a seat in time for the service to start.

We meet at:
Longton Lane, Rainhill, Prescot, Merseyside, L35 8NY

There is parking available on the site.

You can expect a warm welcome; a lively time of worship where we'll sing a mixture of traditional hymns and more contemporary worship songs. Our Pastor or a visiting speaker will then explain a passage from the bible as together we'll learn more about what it means to be a follower of Jesus.

Children stay with their parent or carer at the start of the service as we really encourage worshipping together as a family for the first part of the morning. At some point someone will announce that it’s time for the younger members to go to their various groups.

After the service we encourage people to stay and chat together over a cup of tea or coffee.

Children

Have you got children that you would like to bring to church? We run a specific programme just for them!

Children

Our aim is to make sure every child can be themselves in a safe and welcoming environment. Our children's workers are all DBS checked and have first aid and safeguarding training.

We want the children to have great fun whilst learning more about Jesus and meeting with Him.

Men and Women

Women
The church has a women's ministry that meets regularly during the year. We aim to encourage and empower women to flourish in God’s goodness and purpose for their lives.

We arrange occasional events and meetings which offer help, encouragement and friendship to women in the midst of busy lives.

Men
The church has an active men's ministry that meets regularly during the year. Men's ministry gives an opportunity for the men of the church to pray, support each other and discuss the issues that Christian men face.

Through teaching, discipleship, socials and prayer our aim is to understand what it means to be men of faith. We also have various events including curry nights and breakfasts - what can we say - we like our food!

Life Groups

Our Life groups will usually consist of 6-12 people from church, or those who want to help each other know more about being a follower of Jesus. We usually meet up in church members' homes informally to share news, pray, discuss the bible and develop new friendships over a cuppa.

We have a number of Life groups located in and around Rainhill.. If you’d like to join a group or just find out more info, please just ask any of the regulars at church. We can put you in touch with a group leader who will be more than happy to invite you along and introduce you to their group.

Planning your Visit

A Warm Welcome!

The following information is specifically for those planning a visit, so that you know, beforehand, what to expect on a Sunday morning.

Where and When

We meet at the Church Building (details below) for our Sunday Service starting at 10.30am. For your first visit, we recommend arriving 10-15 minutes early to ensure you get a parking space and find somewhere to sit before the service begins. When you arrive, you should be greeted by someone on our Welcome Team who will show you to your seats.

Plan your journey:

Open Google Maps

Accessibility: There is wheelchair access, and a sound loop for anyone who needs it. Please let one of the Welcome Team know on your arrival and they will help you to get set up. There are disabled toilets in the main foyer.

Our Service

The main service begins at 10.30 am with a warm welcome from one of our team members. Then follows a time of sung worship, led by our musicians. We typically have 2 or 3 songs lasting approximately 15 minutes. At this point we try to engage the whole family as we introduce the morning's theme. After this we'll share news and notices, usually about what’s going on in the life of the church. Our Pastor will then read and explain a bible passage to us in a way that we can apply to our everyday life. We then finish with a final worship song. After the service there’s usually tea & coffee available.

Children’s ministry

Children will stay with their parent or carers at the start of the service - there is a Creche for the very young ones. We really do value and encourage worshipping God all together as a family. At the end of the notices someone will announce that it’s time for the younger members to go to their group. At this point the children will leave and enjoy a programme especially for them.

The children's activities vary depending on the age but usually there is a friendly welcome, bible stories, prayer, music, craft, drama, fun games and free play. The children then usually come back in at the end of the service to tell us all what they’ve been up to!

Check out Life Groups and see if there’s one that you could join, or we can put you in touch with a group leader who will be more than happy to invite you along to their group.
